Watch out… Banksy’s about!
For those of you who haven’t heard of him, Banksy is a well-known British Graffiti artist who’s art can be seen on buildings around a lot of the major cities of the UK, and even as far as New Orleans in the US.
He doesn’t sell any of his art, he is a true artist. I could spend hours just looking at his art – last week I spend ages just browsing through his website looking at the photographs of his outdoor artwork. A lot of his work tends to be politically influenced, but some is just modern art at its best.
One piece of art in particular caught the attention of the press, who claimed he “got it wrong”. The press claimed that he made a mistake and the sniper was holding the rifle with the wrong arm. Personally, I very much doubt he would make a mistake like that, and the whole point of art is to get people’s attention… which is exactly what he done – his so called “mistake” made headlines.
