Pure Magazine… Derry?

Once in a blue moon I get the rare opportunity to blog about something close to home. When most people think of Derry, aka. The Walled City unpleasant things spring to mind. The past couple of months a new magazine has been in circulation locally – Pure Magazine. The magazine covers topics like entertainment, lifestyle, fashion, reviews, interiors and food and drink. Microsoft Windows 7 Artwork by Chuck Anderson

I received my NoPattern Email Newsletter on Wednesday and read of some awesome new work by none other than Chuck Anderson. It appears Chuck has indeed been a busy boy. His recent projects include the artwork for Microsoft Windows 7… and clients don’t get much bigger than Microsoft. Other works includes Chicago Marathon 2009 and Solace Magazine. Padraig Ó Mianáin CD Artwork and Photography

Surprisingly, I’m only getting around to putting online some of my Final Year design work, well, my Major Project in particular. For my Major Project I undertook a project for the University of Ulster to design a CD Cover and booklet for Padraig Ó Mianáin, a traditional irish music composer. The CD was released in July 2008. I had full creative control and layed out the art direction for the project, and with the assistance of Barry McGilloway, we got some pretty cool photos taken for the CD booklet.
