Slam Poetry Meets Typography

I’ve found another little gem for your visual pleasure. Until recently I wasn’t really too familiar with “Slam Poets”! These guys are Poets, but their delivery is what defines them, and they compete in Poetry Slams where the audience judges them and picks the winner. The poet reciting in this video is Taylor Mali.

This post is not really about the poetry – it is about the typography. Similarly to my previous post, this is also about Kinetic Typography. This video was created by a film student Ronnie Bruce, and it is both a lesson in literacy and typographic creativity.
