I’m now microblogging on Posterous

In an effort to keep my blogging as active as possible, and yet still maintain a solid degree of quality post content on my blog here, I decided to engage with Posterous – the perfect solution.

Initially, I was drawn to Posterous by the beautiful minimal default layout. With only a little customisation and editing, I had myself a ready to go Posterous blog. I plan on using it as a middle ground between my twitter, and my main blog. Usually, when I tweet something I want to share with people, it gets quickly washed away in the sea of tweets. But now, when I post something on my Posterous, it automatically shares it with twitter – so at least there is a point of reference for people to go back to revisit and maybe even add their comments.

Custom Puppets from Furry Puppet Studio

I stumbled upon this when reading a tweet from Jon Hicks @Hicksdesign. These guys at Furry Puppet Studio make what they describe as Custom puppets for the age of HD. They take your ideas and make custom puppets with special detail and features.

Can you imagine getting up every day and going to work and making puppets? How fun would that be! This one below actually looks a bit like my dog! Check out their website… it’s very cool – furrypuppet.com.

If you know me personally, then you will know I am certainly not the biggest fan of Microsoft – hence me being a Mac enthusiast. But for once, it’s nice to be saying something positive about the monolithic giants that are Microsoft. ffffound.com is a really cool, new image bookmarking website that is currently only accessible via invite only as it’s still in beta stage. It’s a lot like del.icio.us, except for images, and a LOT cooler and more interesting.

As a designer, this site could consume hours of my time, as I look on in awe of the beautiful graphics uploaded by talented designers. But guess what?! I haven’t been lucky enough to get an invite yet for ffffound! So, if you, or anyone else you know has any invites… hook me up?
